Gold and Blue get a varying number of inspection points, but they’re both significantly higher than regular used models. If you buy CPO, you’re correct in your belief that a true factory-trained and certified mechanic has inspected your vehicle. If it’s a gold certified, the inspection points are the highest they can possibly be.
Modernity
If contemporary features like unique leather interiors, connected tech, and driver-assist features are tops on your wish list, a certified pre-owned model is more suited to your style. They need to fall within a modern range of model year and have under a certain mileage, so there’s a cap on how old they can be. Since modern tech and features have been around since before the current-gen, you can rest assured that your model will likely have features like automatic emergency braking, 7-inch or higher infotainment systems, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto functionality.
