Four Recalls Affecting Ford F-150 Trucks and Other Vehicles
Four important new safety recalls have been issued by Ford Motor Company. Sarasota Ford can provide support to customers who may have been affected by one or more of these recalls. The vehicles identified in the recalls are:
- 2015 – 2017 Ford Transit
- 2018 Ford F-150 (with 3.3 liter engine)
- 2018 Ford F-150 (with 3.5 liter engine)
- 2017 Ford F-150
2015 – 2017 Ford Transit Vehicles with Trailer Tow Module
Water may intrude into the tow module, causing potential wiring corrosion and other damage to the module. At this time Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries associated with the issue. These vehicles were built at the Kansas City Assembly Plant between Feb. 3, 2014 and August 2, 2017.
2018 Ford F-150 With 3.3 Liter Engine, Column-Mounted Shift Lever, and Six-Speed Transmission
Affected vehicles were built at the Dearborn Assembly Plant between Jan. 12, 2017 and October 9, 2017 and the Kansas City Assembly Plant between Aug. 23, 2016 and July 2, 2017.
2018 Ford F-150 With 3.5 Liter Engine
These vehicles were built at the Kansas City Assembly Plant from Sept. 5 – Sept. 17, 2017 and at the Dearborn Assembly Plant Sept. 3 – Sept. 16, 2017.
2017 Ford F-150 Vehicles With Automatic 10-Speed Transmission
Approximately 15,000 affected vehicles were manufactured at the Kansas City Assembly Plant from Sept. 16, 2016 to Aug. 9, 2017 and the Dearborn Assembly Plant Aug. 23 2016 – July 2, 2017.
